History
Miss M. M. Hadley, appointed Principal of RGS on July 15, 1946,
played an instrumental role in laying the foundation for the strong
presence of music and drama evident in the RGS culture today.
Amongst her many contributions to the school, one of the most notable
being the establishment of the first Sports Meet on August 10, 1949,
Miss Hadley was also responsible for the introduction of the House system.
The school was divided into four Houses named after former principal,
and the last house, HADLEY HOUSE, was named after Miss Hadley as a fitting
reminder of her contributions to the school.
